Raid 5 - Parity - All data is written to 1x drive & spread across the other 2-7 - Fault tolerance means no loss of data if 1 drive fails - 4/6/8x HDD required. Cost effective

Raid 10 - Mirror + Stripe - All data is written to 2x drives at the same time - Fault tolerance means no loss of data if 1 drive fails - 4/6/8x HDD required. Most reliable
